Default Using an 8900 as a modem (via cable or BT)

Any suggestions? I never had any luck tethering either the 8100 or 8120 but am hoping this will be easier. I noticed someone else asked about tethering the 8900 and was directed to a thread on the Bold; the script there was for 3G tethering. I'm just looking to use the 8900 as a modem via GPRS/EDGE. I know this should be simple, but it doesn't seem to be.

Thanks in advance!

Get this stuff, follow the instructions:

www fibble org/archives/2007/10/updated-modem-s html

The rest (the information you get asked when doing a BT pair) is dependent on your carrier...

Sorry, I can't post links... just remove the spaces from my URL.
