Looks like they've updated the:

Flip Your Phone Rebate

promotion to encompass the 9700 as well! Dig out that old beater phone and get $50 back!

I did this earlier this year on another upgrade, and it came thru just fine (took about two months tho). They even give you a prepaid label, so there's no risk/outlay (other then losing an ancient phone).

Sweet! Going to go in today and see if I can get the $50 in store drop on the phone and then send in for this rebate. If it all works out then I'll have ended up paying $325 for the phone outright from the $450 I currently am stuck with.

The rebate site said they'd give me $75 if I send them a Nextel 7510... Not too shabby and I'm sure I could scrounge up one or two of those if needed..
