Hiya, just wondering if anyone can help with hotmail.co.uk

i'm on o2 have BIS, Data plan, the full works, but cannot add my hotmail.co.uk on the blackberry, atm am forwarding emails from my hotmail to blackberry but would like to be able to access it for things like messenger.

when i try and add it, it says "unable set up ....@hotmail.co.uk. please try again". it is frustrating to say the least. i've got hotmail plus aswell not that its needed.

i've contacted microsoft no help at all, they offered me the pop 3 setting but no where to enter them.

You need to log into the O2 BIS site and enter it there. There should be an option to set up the account yourself. That is where you would add the pop settings.

There was a time when Microsoft forced users to upgrade to hotmail premium before adding to the BB, but I do not believe that is still in effect.

Perhaps someone from O2 will be along and provide some specific info regarding O2.

Thanks, tried the website aswell, still gives the same message, dont have a clue what is going on

Me neither, as I added my free hotmail.co.uk address to BIS no problems.
Perhaps the problem is the fact you have a Plus account.

Hmm i shouldn't think so, it just give me more options for support and bigger mailbox i think. Microsort are no help really

Have you tryed setting up the e-mail account mannually?

I have indeed, dam hotmail, why cant it work, i cant log into windows live messenger on the blackberry either, what is going on?
