I thought the Tour battery life was bad when it first came out....had full charge this morning and by 1pm est the battery indicator was red. No apps running in the background but do use wifi........is this normal?

Sounds like you have a data app or two running. Are you sure that there are none running int he background?

Are you in a fringe 3G area and the device might be searching for a better signal?

WiFi does use the battery so heavy WiFi could be a cause.
