I have a BNIB unlocked Rogers 9780 coming this weekend...and I'll be using it on AT&T BIS and voice service.

I learned last night that because Visual Voice Mail on the BB is a carrier supported exclusive function...and Rogers doesn't support it, that my 9780 needs to have the .alx file modded to support VVM.

Does anybody here know how to do that, what to do, and what the outcome will be? I'm a total dummy at that kind of thing...and could someone post baby step guidelines as to how to do it, which mods to use, and all that is necessary?

I don't want to give up my VVM!!

download the full OS package for your device, modify blackberry.alx file w/ any txt editor to add the VVM files to your carrier ID or add your carrier ID to the list of carriers that includes VVM. or just side load them later through app loader.
