I just bought this phone yesterday and need some help. I use a regular old plug in headset in my car (A Jabra Headset). On incomming calls, when the headset is plugged in, the phone rings but it does not ring through the earpiece so it is difficult to hear in my car. Is there a setting that can change this so that I can hear a ring through the headset? Thanks

In my experience with the plugin earphones, the BlackBerry only rings through the earphones when the media player is playing. When the earphones are plugged in and the media player is not playing, it rings through the handset speaker.

That is on my 9700 running OS ver 5. I don't remember for certain what previous models and OS version did, but I suspect it may have been the same. Don't know what OS 6 does.
