Default Move BESAdmin Account to New Exchange 2010 Mailbox Server

Please Login to Remove!

Can I move the BESAdmin account to the new exchange 2010 server while my current Blackberry Users are still on Exchange 2007?

yes but you have to do a bit or work first and hopefully you are on BES 5.

Yes i am on BES 5.0.3 MR3, I was going to set the throttling policies tonight and move the BESAdmin account as well. I just didn't want to break 865 users BB users by moving the BES Admin Account. I am going to move a couple test users tomorrow after I make the changes recommended in the link.

Just to make sure when I move the BES admin and set the throttling policies it will not cause any outage; is that correct?

I had a major problem with the BES throttling policy not taking and devices dying randomly. My solution was to change the settings of the default throttling policy, which fixed it.

I take it back because it happened again this morning. Five calls to RIM can't fix it. Thank god my top execs have all switched to iPhones and Androids. I don't like it but this will hasten the exodus.
