Default Blackberry Messenger Icons - What are They

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone have any documentation about messenger? For instance, what do the differnt icons mean? Face with a '+' is adding a contact. Circle with a slash - obvious. But I've got one that I can't quite make out... And also, there seem to be some less-than-obvious features, such as the smileys, or the ability to send pictures from the picture app. Documentation would be handy. Thanks.

Do you mean from the Browser ? I don't have a HELP in BB Messenger or in the help application from the home screen, unless I missed it .

Yes, I meant using the browser on your BB not from your PC. One of the few times I was actually posting from my PC. Didn't even think of someone looking for help directly from the messenger app.

Sorry I wasn't clearer.

So I looked at the documentation from RIM's site - nothing about the icons. Here is a screenshot from me of the Unavailable icons. What do these icons mean?

My understanding is those marked with the clock-face are still in conversation mode with another contact (if you don't click the End Conversation). The ones marked with the red-crossed circle are one who have set unavailable in the Available menu. If you highlight that contact and click Contact Info, you can see their status.

And the other ones are deceased I guess. No red, no blue.

There are different implementations in different themes. I don't have this one. Might want to do a screenshot.

Same concept, ones with the Red no smoking symbol are intentionally away like an away message, ones with blue clock means message was not delivered, and the ones that are grey with the other symbol means they received the message but it was not read yet...
