Thanks, that is all I need. Please confirm the 8700G can not reach the bottm of the holster. It is stopped by the two front holders. WE will make the changes.
Actually it appears that it does reach the bottom of the holster. I think the bigger problem is that there is little to no plastic above the speakerphone. It looks like the 8700c has a squared off area of the case above the speakerphone where the 8700g is rounded at the top and the speakerphone come up to the top edge of the device.
Just got mine for my 8700c today....I love it. Feels much more secure than the OEM holster. The swivel clip seems like it may not hold up, but otherwise, this thing is great.
I've been using mine for a few days and generaly like it, but have one complaint: the clip sits too high for my taste. Using the OEM holster the BB hangs about 2/3 below the belt and 1/3 above it. With this holster the opposite is true. So now when I sit down, it pokes me in the ribs (even though I wear it on my side and not in front) and I have to turn it horizontally; I didn't have to do it with the OEM holster.
As far as slimness is concerned; the Seidio case appears slimmer, when compared to the OEM holster, but because of the high position of the clip, it actually does not hug the hip as well as OEM holster. So it actually sticks out further out.
I am debating on this case for my 8700c. I am trying to decide whether or not to go the way of a skin, or just e-grips. If I get a skin, I need to get the skin version of this case. Thoughts on skin vs e-grips? I already ordered the screen protronus screen protectors.
