Hi All,

I've been a lurker for about a month and registered to ask about this problem that I can't figure out for the life of me.

A VP at my company bought an Infiniti M45 and wanted a brand new BBerry to go with it, simply for the Bluetooth functionality. We gave her the 7290 and it paired and she was in bliss for about 2 weeks. After those 2 weeks, it simply stopped working. It would pair with the car but would not communicate. Since she is who she is, we simply swapped out her BB and sent her on her merry way. Another 2 weeks pass and the 2nd one stops communicating with the car. Blackberry says its an Infiniti problem, so she brought the BB to the Infiniti dealership and it wouldn't communicate with any of the other Bluetooth capable cars but it would pair. So with Infiniti pointing the finger at Blackberry and Blackberry pointing the finger at Infiniti, I'm left with a very unhappy VP. Does anybody have any suggestions about how to fix this?

I have an M35 and had the same problem, but my initial connection lasted a full year. Have you tried a "soft reset" on the Blackberry? It worked for me in re-establishing communication with the car, but you may have to manually connect from the Blackberry each time that the car is started. Message on Blackberry when starting car: "Accept handsfree connection..... Just thumb "yes" and you should receive another message that handsfree connection established.
