Haha, that was my little trick to get people to view the thread. Posting about the wonders of iPhone in a Blackberry forum is like adding blood to a shark tank.

Clearly Elliot's just another Apple fanboy lemming and, lack of features aside, will bow at the altar of anything they release. Forget it, pal. Despite the features and the sexy straps, I prefer the strapless look any day. Get off your Apple high horse and come down to earth.
According to RIM, all user SIM settings, contacts, tasks and emails will be available on UNannounced models. So there!

Yes, but does RIM have Steve Jobs leading them? He is not just a man, he is a prophet for the 21st century.
Blasphemy, I say!

Elliot, I don't want to get a flame war started here but, personally, I think your whole post is a fake. I've examined those pics carefully and they look Photoshop'd to me. I'm not an expert on photo tampering but I doubt the phone looks that good in the real world.

I'm sorry sir, but you are mistaken. My camera does not even do the iPhone any justice. I would need like a 19 gigapixel camera to capture half the awesomeness of the new iPhone. I'm sorry if you are blind to obvious facts, but the iPhone is going to change the course of humanity.

This is my last post on this subject because clearly you are what I said you are... an Apple Fanboy Lemming. I admit that, assuming your pictures aren't fakes, that it's a design revolution. But, even in your shots, I see no way for a user to replace the battery and no option for voice-dialing. I could go on listing things but I hardly doubt that people would stand in line and climb over each other for something like that! Looks aside, who would do that?!
Like I said, rant and rave over this thing all you like. I refuse to get into a p***ing contest with you. If you can be seduced by hype, glitz and wire-ties, it's not worth arguing about. Nuff said!

If you CAN'T, then you're just not an American. The battery is user-replaceable, but the tools needed (a pair of scissors or a knife) aren't included in the box. I'm glad they didn't include it in the box to keep the price down. This set-up cost me a mere $919 bones (before activation and other miscellaneous fees), but it's a small price to pay to be part of a revolution.
Voice dialing? Sorry, I have high self-esteem. I don't have any innate desires to express my deepest thoughts and feelings to a machine.
I don't want to get into a pissing contest either. Maybe you should take a week and consider joining the revolution. I will welcome you with open arms.

lol, this is funny as heck. Someone in the elevator thought I had an iphone. Since it looks like it is from the side, the chrome effects, I could have told him yes it is the new iphone... Newer than the newest one that came out 2 weeks ago. This one got keyboard and joystick. But I didn't tell him that since the elevator only took me to the 2nd floor from the 1st floor.

You may think it's funny. I feel sorry for Elliot. He has to run out and plunk down almost 1G because he's seduced by all the hype. Sure he may get ooohs and aaahs from everyone around him when he pulls that shiny toy out of his pocket but, IMHO, he's been had. At a cost!
He says that I'm not American -- well, I just had pizza, spicy tuna roll and a beef taco for lunch! If that's not American I don't know what is. Maybe to the OP, being an American means digging into your pocket just so you can "join the crowd." I can't believe you find that funny when, in fact, it's so sad.

Let's see if the OP "bites the hook" when the black strapless model comes out two months from now. (BTW, I'm designing a theme to use on my 8300 to look exactly like those screenshots. )

To the mods: I suggest this thread be locked or deleted. I've run Elliot's IP address and every one of his posts come from the same one! Just a wee bit suspicious, don't you think? Talk about spamming a forum!

Of course I will, not only because of my deep love for this country, but my deep love for Steven P. Jobs and the glorious kindgom that is Apple Computer, Incorporated. Of course none of them will look as good as the first-generation model that I have, but I will do my duty as an American, NAY, as a human being and plunk down my hard-earned dollars towards the new iteration of the iPhone.
I just hope I am worthy enough to own it. With that said, here is a little poem to express my love of the newly-released iPhone:
Straps are here to stay
Lookin' oh, so sexay
My iPhone blows them all away
Many Apple converts I hope to sway
All the haters have been lead astray
Thinkin' the Apple iPhone is just another cliche
I could look at that display
All damn day
Makes me proud to say
OH YEAH U S A

Two things, fanboy -- first, I am not a hater. (Except for my wife and the people I work with, I tend to like most people and things.) And second, take your meds, okay!
