Under software updates it lists service pack1, service pack 2 etc.

Higher the number on the service pack the newer the revision of the software.
Service Packs are Upgrades built for/into the Original version which include
improvements/fixes without launching a completely new version of the software.

So Service Pack 2 would have the latest in fixes/features compared to Service Pack 1.

Finally, please do read the "Upgrade Instructions" before deciding to install.

service pack is revised software, eg like books books revision 2 has addition and correction from previous version.
same thing with service packs. it has updates and bugs from previous software versions fixed
