Default Sync error #728

Please Login to Remove!

I'm having a problem when I sync my Blackberry to my Outlook profile. Sync starts, but a few seconds later an 'Operation Failed' message pops up. When I go into the rim.log, it goes through the entire process for my calendar, but then ends with the message:

Internal Error #-728.
Translation Canceled!

I've searched but cannot find any reference to that error #. Any ideas?

Are you on a BES/Exchange? You can try clearing the Calendar database on the BB and re synching. If that still fails try deleting the Research In Motion folder under C:\Documents & Settings\user\Application Data and then re configuring Intellisync. You may have to create a new MAPI profile if that fails. IF you are still having issues after all that then it may be a corrupt entry in Outlook. If thats the case then search BlackBerry.com for "Advanced Logging" which will then tell you specifically which entry its failing on.

Smile Fixed ERROR-728, Intellisync failure

After using my 7100, then 7105T for a few years, with Lotus Notes, then Outlook my BB would not sync, it failed out of the blue, after thousands of successful syncs.

After careful review of the postings in this Forum I found the posting above. After many unsuccessful attempts to solve the problem (i.e. removing and reloading software) I followed the instructions above, which stated to simply remove the RIM folder.

Once I did that, problem solved!!! Thank you so much. Now I am not only a user, but I'm also a member!

Default Internal error too

I am not on a BES server--I merely forward my internal work mail/calendar to the BB account. I have synced only 2 times and now I receive this error --I have tried to locate the file that is referred to however, it is not there? I was a die hard Palm user but the office provided me the BB---Just want to sync--that is all.....Not sure what to do now?

OK---I did find the folder and was successful---dang, after 2 sync's it corrupted????? Amazing! Good to go now!

Default Worked for me too!

Thanks, I was getting the same error (internal error #-728) and I deleted the RIM folder per the instructions above. It worked!

But also doubled all my contacts. :(
