How about expiring posts after a set time? 30 days? If some one posts something for sale if it's not gone by then it's probably a bit stale.

That might be the one the forums that would need a full time moderator (maybe more than one) to clean up such posts...

No, I refuse to delete ANY post from a Classified section, some things take longer then 30 days to sell. I am leaving it to the original poster to say that the item is sold.

I meant to clean up the sold posts... If possible, maybe have the user post *SOLD* or something in the title when it actually is sold...
