Anyone got a good link to the Cingular BIS site? I keep getting an error when I try to browse to it.

Firstly, many thanks for this excellent tip.
Secondly, having set this up for getting my Gmail, I now have a second icon on my menu for it which is great. However all the incoming mail for Gmail also gets displayed in my main BES inbox on the phone. Is there a way to stop it appearing twice?

My issue now is that I want to receive emails if I send it to myself (via PC), so that I have it on my BB.
However, if I remove the filters to allow that, I'll receive the 'sent mails' again.

You can always send them to your @xxx.blackberry.net email address, as this one doesn't need the filter on it.

That's what I currently do w/ multiple accounts, but I'm wondering if there's a way to do it to the same email address. If all fails, at least I tried!

I am on VZW and on the company's BES.
The filter works great. However, I am having this problem...
In Messages | Options | General Options, I have "SMS and Email inboxes" set to "Separate".
After creating a Gmail account, it created a new folder (envelope icon) from the HOME screen. When I highlight it, it says "username@gmail.com". Great!!!
But when I try to send an email from my Outlook (company's exchange server via BES) to the gmail account, I get the email from 2 locations. One in the "Messages" folder, and one in the new gmail folder.
Is there a way for the new email appears in the gmail folder?

It works. Thousands here have done this for their GMail, just on this forum alone.

This is normal. The email will show in "Messages" and in the dedicated GMail folder. The Messages folder is a dumping ground for ALL messages. You can separate out sms but PIN messages, BES messages and all BIS messages will still go there. I just hide the gmail folder and use the Messages folder for everything.
if you go to Options >Security Options >General Settings >Message Colours, you can set different colors for your BES mail and other messages to help differentiate.

hi, i also had the problem with sent emails from my blackberry forwarding again to my blackberry inbox. i logged into my email options and clicked the "do not forward" option. now, for some reason i do not get emails anymore. although i log into my outlook on my desktop and find that i have numerous new emails. i can turn off the "do not forward" option, and will receive emails like normal, but i will have the forwarding problem again. so what did i do wrong here? i am probably missing something...
edit: well just as i had sent this, it occurred to me that i should read more carefully. i had turned off email forwarding all together, not just from my own email. *facepalm* . works like a charm now!

Thanks a LOT for this. This post saved me from a lot of frustratoin.
I was able to add a filter by logging on to my T-Mobile account. I'm a Tmo subscriber from the USA.
Once logged in, it shows exactly what the pics show for Cingular.
Once again. Thanks much.
