Never hurts to be safe though. I had a bad SIM about 4 months ago, and I told myself I would get another one as a backup, but never did, now seems like a good time.

Most likely the rebooting is caused my your mem card. Remove it and see what happens. You will probably need to reformat it in 4.5.
JC - thanks for the feedback. I reformated the memory card in 4.5, and I'm still getting the reboots. However, they seem isolated to whenever I'm on a call. Anyone else experience this?

Also, whenever it reboots, my icons that hid and unhid are reset. So, I have to redo them each time.

Remember your blackberry really doesn't store anything on it's sim card, so there isn't much to copy from it. Normally GSM phones store their phonebook on the sim card, but the BB has a built in contact manager that doesn't use the sim for storage.

I actually like the address book problem of remembering what email account I email that person from, makes it easy to email the wife and it comes from my BIS account, any others are on my BES.

I updated my 8320 to .42 yesterday afternoon. My experience so far:
UMA - better than .18, not as many drops or failed calls
Memory leak - yes, a slow one
Voice mail icon on Tmobile - it does not show up

Heh, I can't get rid of my VM icon and I have also noticed a slow memory leak, could be 3rd party apps not getting along with the new OS as well. Ohh well, this OS can make it through an entire day without frustrating issues so it's a keeper for me.

I had .37 installed for a few days and ended up going back to 4.2 for the following reasons:

1. Google Talk disappeared - was not hidden, i re installed it several times and couldnt get it back.
2. Phone 'rang' with no vibrate or tone, in other words its as if it was on silent profile even though i was on normal (tone only) or loud (vibrate + tone).

Have the above issues been fixed in .42? or am i the only one who was experiencing those issues?

Couple of weird things now that I'm on .42

1) I have 1 unread message indicator even though there are no unread messages in any inbox. I changed themes etc. but no go

2) Today, my conversation history for BB Messenger contacts disappeared. Not much lost as I just had 2 days conversation since I upgraded but I found this weird. I know my 3 year old daughter was fooling around with the phone- is there any option that actually clears conversations?

Will it delete history for ALL contacts under BB Messenger? I doubt she would've individually pressed del on all three contacts with history. If not, then looks like its a bug.

My history disappears when my phone reboots. Don't know if you've noticed yours reboot randomly or not, but that could be a cause.

The access to media is much faster including load time on videos. But that battery drain is for real. I've dropped 10% in about 45 minutes. Eeek!

Though .42 seems much more snappier than the earlier betas, memory leak
over a few hours of normal usage seems far much more than them.
'Memory Free' reduces drastically over a few hours of normal usage.

VM indicator does not show on T-Mobile with the Dimension L theme.

I saw the network traffic like it was going to notify, but it didn't.

Yep....I don't think theme matters. I don't get an indicator and I'm using TMo Zen.
