...I finally got around to it and I'm glad I did

I used the "Personal Email Setup" icon on my BB and went to "Account Services". There, I got this long warning message saying that presently, I did not need to enter any "user-name" as my presently setup email accounts required only the password that was associated with each email account. It went on to say that if I created a BIS account, that this would be a "Permanent change" and I would no longer have to enter my password for each email account to edit the settings but instead, I would log into my BIS account which I would also be able to do from any browser on any computer to edit my email accounts.

So, I did it and it was pretty easy as long as you can remember the password to all your present email accounts. Then, I logged out on my BB and went to my computer and logged in with the user-name and PW that I created on my BB. There, I was able to create filters of pretty much any kind I wanted to prevent all the ads and stuff I get at home from making it to my BB. I can still preview all my important email on my BB without all the clutter. It is perfect and thank you all for the help in figuring this out.
