Anyone successfully using the My Stocks feature on the finance widget?
When I first downloaded/installed Go, it automatically showed my yahoo portfolio under My Stocks. Now it's gone and I can't figure out how to get My Stocks back.
I think I lost My Stocks after I did the verizon 8830 update a couple nights ago. Have tried to deinstall/reset Yahoo Go and even reloaded.
i got the text for it the other day. first time i use this app an i like it. real user friendly. maps is great. i wanted a donut the other night and i wasn't to familiar with the area i was in so i changed my local and went find nearby typerd in donuts 5 minutes later i was eating a donut.
I'm currently using version 2.0.46, and just went to the OTA link and found that version 2.0.49 is available. Can't find release notes anywhere -- anyone know what's changed?
I'm experiencing troubles with address book sync -- a small percentage of my contacts get duplicated whenever I sync, but it's not consistent enough to pin down. Hopefully this update will fix that...
Downloaded the latest version. Only things I've noticed so far is a different splash screen and slightly more polished user interface components. The app hung the first few times I launched but finally started working.
Still having problem with address sync though. 90% of the time it gets about 1/2 way through my contacts and then returns a "This service is temporarily unavailable" message.
Major annoyance - "My Stocks" brings up every symbol that I have (well, had) in all of my Yahoo Finance portfolios... and there is no way that I can find to edit the list without going one-by-one and removing the symbol. For 150 symbols, of which only 8 I care about daily... that's bad.
Strange though - after I realized what happened, I uninstalled Y!Go, went to Y!Finance on the web and deleted all of my portfolios except my current one (with the 8 symbols). I then reinstalled Y!Go, and My Stocks still pulled up all 150 symbols. ???
I had a simiar issue with My Stocks. My Stocks had disappeared. To try to get it back, I deleted Y!Go, cleared my Blackbery cache, history, cookies, etc., when I reinstalled Y!Go, it "remembered" some of the custom links I added to the previous Y!go that I deleted. I can't tell if the uninstall missed a Content file on the BB somewhere or if Yahoo is saving my customization up on their server, (i.e. could be where all those stock symbols are that you are still getting?)
Also, I found a couple other possible things... (note-I only use Yahoo Finance on my PC.. and Y!go on not my Blackberry)
1. If I stay signed on to Yahoo Finance (with their 2-week keep-me-signed-on option), it may cause problems on Y!Go's "My Stocks" on my blackberry, so I never check that option anymore on Yahoo Finance.
2. I also have multiple portfolios on Yahoo Finance, but I now always make a point to go back to my primary one on Yahoo Finance before I sign-out. Seems like Y!Go My Stocks has been more reliable doing it this way. Maybe it brings up the last one I was in?
Don't know if these are really having any impact, but maybe worth a try.
