hello...I just tried to do the OTA for the Color Pearl. My handheld said that there was an error and that my cache doesn't recognize the URL. I have a Mac...can you help me out?

I met the same issue. There is no colorpearl in the application folder. The lights around track ball are on at the same time, Red, Green and Blue.
I cannot change the option either.

You need some kind of WinZip program on your computer in order to unzip it. I think WinXP comes with unzipping software....it's been so long since I haven't had it that I can't remember. Usually, if you just right click on the .zip file there will be an option to Extract the files.

If that doesn't work you can download over-the-air (OTA) using the .jad files. There should be a link on metsfan's website.

Thanks for the cool pgrams. I'm also extremely confused as to why people would buy the pearl without a data plan. I'm pretty sure the entire point of a BB is to recieve e-mail and use the web, hence the bigger keypad. Well thanks again for the pgrams and I will continue to enjoy using the @ symbol on my pearl. One more thing, why would you download the files to your computer? I'm 14 years old and this is my first phone, and in my opinion the programs couldn't have been easier to install on the BB. Anyway, I have been using all of the programs for a few days and there is nothing wrong with any of them. One question about ColorPearl. Why are there colored LED lights behind the trackball if there are no pre-loaded apps that utilize them? Oh well. I'll donate some $ as soon as I get my allowence.

ps. I feel so bad for anyone who broke open their BB to change the color of the pearl w/ a sharpie. Diddn't you see the LED lights after you opend it?

I just have a small question: The white seems to show shades of other colors. I know other people experience the same. Setting the custom color to 00000 makes the tracker look dull. Is there anyway to get the original white color which was brighter and did not show different shades?

I tried uninstalling the application, but the white is the same dull one as when I chose 00000 under custom colors.

This isn't exact; the LED's tend to override each other in the corners. That can lead to a neat rainbow effect.

ok i am very new to this blackerry stuff, and have have a few questions...i am tryin to download colorpearl and am having problems. I click on ota install and it tells me to find a program online to run it or save it but what do i do. if you could please help me with the step bystep instructions on downloading software and music on my blackberry. Great program! Worked first time. Just have one question, when i try to make my own color, it shows up white. I went to the color board and selected, got code, entered it and then its just white. I was trying to get purple and orange. Neither worked. Any suggestions? Thanks so much again!

how do you download it to your bb cause i download on to my computer but i cant get it on to my bb pearl help me please ive also tried to download it using my bb pearl browser but it keep coming up error message please help thank you

It's pretty simple right now, all it has is enable/disable and color selection. You can set these in Options->ColorPearl.

You can download it here.

I plan to have more options at some point, but need suggestions on what they should be.

Colors: White, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, Pink, Custom (Hex RRGGBB), Random!
