If I could get the thinness of my Pearl with the full keyboard, I'd be in hog heaven!

I'm probably going to wait for the "ultimate" version rumored for the 83xx series with camera and GPS. After reading about the 8300, it was enough to push me to at least try out a Blackberry but I opted to get the Pearl (which has been an AWESOME experience so far) first instead of waiting. Love the form factor and it might be difficult for me to switch back to a bigger device.

Can't wait to see what's in store for the 83xx series overall.

Does anyone know if the 8300 will have hot-swapping for the microSD card (the ability to change cards without resetting phone)? On the 8300 website it mentions that it will but people have said this is not the case. Thanks

The cnet review says the microsd is under the battery, so a reset would be required

I second that! I'm not fund of the color. I just don't want people to confuse me for bringing a Palm Treo or something. To me, that color is totally so "Palm"

While this doesn't say it WON'T be released for Tmo, it certainly doesn't quote this in the affirmative.

Here's to wishful thinking, though!!!!! I know that if it doesn't, there will be one very upset user here.
Being a retailer, the accessories for this BB model shows Cingular -- at least for now. Not because I am a Tmo subscriber, I have found that Cingular customers are not as crazy as Tmo customers when it comes to accessories.

I second the poor choice in case color. I too would love it to be in a dark blue or black.

As my review states, not hot swap. The microSD slot is underneath the battery cover.

Ditto Stinsonddog. We want stereo on the pearl, and we want it now. The 8300 looks good, I like the keyboard layout better than the 8800. I'd like to see it next to the pearl too. They should make it "piano black" (to take a phrase from my new Mini Cooper dashboard color options) like the pearl too.

Default LAPTOP MAG review

LAPTOP MAGAZINE:

BlackBerry Curve Review by LAPTOP Magazine

Can we make this thread so that all reviews of members and other sites be here "so when you are undecided if you wanna buy it or not you will have a Review Roundup thread"
sticky?
like Perfect Storm wrote "if EVERYONE made a new thread for EVERY review, there would be 50 threads a day here."

Looks like an awesome device, but I am not making another compromise. I will wait for a GPS+camera version (if there will be one at all). I already compromised with the 8800, not doing it again.

In your view, is it as "pocketable" as the pearl is?

How's the camera quality?
