Do you have the Blackberry software installed on your PC? That is the most effective way to install/ uninstall anything. I have so much crap on mine and it still runs like a jet (OK ...slight exageration).
Yeah, I'll install it tonight and give it a shot. Thanks.

No really, the one I've had forever and generally take for granted is BB Alerts ...I love just looking at my LED and knowing what I've missed ...when my phone is on vibrate, there's no way to know what is coming in (email, SMS) w/o the lit LED!

Enough Babble!

Yep, me too like I needed to add ANYTHING, I was like *gasp* I WILL have that, uh,,,,,how much is it,,,,,,,,,,,,,yea I'm in, do me. Got all this downloaded and I'm all set right? Nope

I'm an outside rep and as such, We get to sneak off and duck hunt during the week and of course I run my BB and Blue Ant bluetooth. (now this looks weird in pitch black) I am the only thing for miles blinking blue in two locations. Yesterday morning It rained, no seriously,,,,,,,, RAINED. My pearl didnt make it and now I am DEAD in the water. Some of my customers ONLY communicated through tmo.net and I am TOAST until I can replace.

Is it time for an 8130 unlocked for TMO? How quickly can I pull this off?

Guidance? Anyone?

In an effort to get this thread back on track and continue the discussion of 3rd party applications, here are the apps that I've added:

Apps:

Beyond411 (use all the time, simply amazing)
KeePass (encrypted password manager, full sync with desktop counterpart)

Games:

Soduku (Magmic Software)
Ka-Glom (Magmic Software)
Aces Solitaire (Concrete Software)
UNO Free Fall (Concrete Software)

... all awesome, and highly recommended.

KeePass for desktop:

KeePass Password Safe

KeePass for BlackBerry:

SourceForge.net: KeePass for BlackBerry

Install the desktop version first, then the BB version. Then, go into your sync profiles to setup the sync as an add-in.

That's BB Alerts.

Look in the Aftermarket software for more information.

SuperPages won't give me flight tracking, weather, dictionary, reverse phone look up, or lookups using GPS.

Beyond411 will.

They are two different applications, you can't compare them.

empower has been quite enjoyable, more so than expected, and fleshes out the 'berry quite nicely.

technically, i didn't add it, but the most crucial app for me (and the wife) is definitely BBMessenger.

They are very different, but SP does have reverse phone look up and weather ...I just don't really need the flight tracker or the dictionary. I guess it's all in what the individual needs and gets use to.

I've installed Beyond411 a couple of times based on comments here, and each time uninstalled it after not being amazed.

Can you guys give me a few "use cases" where Beyond411 does something for you that is up there on the "cool" scale?

What features/functions hit your cool spot?

You can't change the trackball color on the 8120 or 8130.
