I've got this home screen too right now. The orange background really blends in well with the icons.

Oh, thanks for pointing out the new Home Screen option!

agreed, I love this theme. I never thought I'd give up Insight-icon, but this one is clean, easy to navigate and lots of real estate on the home screen for a nice picture... too bad I can use the theme editor to 'brand' this one for my users like I did with the original dimension theme :(

Looking through that ALX I see it references a zen theme for the 7100 series - now I need to find that one heh

will post if and when that happens!

Why do you need it?

If you have a 7100 or 8700, pressing the send button brings up the call log, and holding it down brings up the address book. This eliminates the need for 2 more icons.

Hey I just loaded up .280... and guess what! The first 4 icons in the order of the sub-screen for the bottom icon on the home screen are now the 4 that show up on the home screen! It keeps getting better! (even though I was happy with the 4 it put there on the previous version)

If you dont like them in both, just move your top four to the top and hide them - they'll still be on the home screen

You can choose to have the phone log on the home screen if you want to.

Options > Home Screen > Organize Applications

No doubt about it. This is the best theme available for this device. The versatility is unmatched by anything else. I also like how the Profile icon stays on all the time, and the new profile menu it uses. And I love how the SMS/MMS messages are kept separate from the Email messages. Nice...

Well I am glad you like it, it was taken at Paterson Falls, NJ on a hot summer day in 2005 yet the mist generated by the falls was cooling and refreshing.

Wow, I just put this onto my BB and I'm blown away. This should be the default theme. It is excellent! All I had to do was edit the alx file, the theme was already there.

Don't think so. All the more reason to get an 8700!

I did have an 8700 but Cingular is not so good here. I gotta stick with Verizon.

I've only a mac and have no access to a PC to load manually; so any ability to install OTA would be very much appreciated.

I downloaded the code from this site then went through the steps after installation... erase vendor file, go into alx and delete vendor id and what not...

and it didn't work so I copy pasted the alx file that seattle18 had posted in the theme forum and I got this error: java.lang.NullPointerException

My cousin tried it earlier and he got the same msg. This has happened with copy/paste as well as manually deleting vendor id tags.

Not sure what we're doing wrong but we both want the zen theme, cingular theme, vodafone, orange and 02. Can someone please send us the .alx or post it here so we can copy paste it and see if we can get it running.

The only file you need to edit is the Blackberry.alx file. Locate the theme listed in the file (e.g. do a search for ZEN, there is only one). then remove the vendor string from the end of it. Connect your device, load up Desktop Manager and it will tell you there is a new update, let it install, your device reboots, then you will see the theme. Simple.!
