How does this "leaked" practice work? Version .206 leaked 2-3 days ago and now 5.0 leaked. Does it mean RIM made changes on .206 during the last two days and called the (improved/changed) version 5.0. If 5.0 was about to be complete enough to be leaked, why were that wasting their time working on OS .206? Who leakes it to whom first and how? Why is this practice "leaking" is used instead of placing the beta version on RIM website?

one bug I found. If you go into Camera mode to take pictures the graphics and fonts along the bottom are fuzzy and dim.

Annoying bug when sending pictures via e-mail, always asks what format size you want to send it in!

Otherwise no major problems.

Also when playing music, the numbers for the times are fuzzy too.

Sorry for all the little posts again... but holy crap it would be nice to have a spare Bold to tinker with this and not have to use my main Bold. *random thought of the day*

Another small thing about 5.0.0.90, very useless but, not even worth mentioning, but I will anyway. In the Media, with the blue background, you'll notice that the actual background image is a slightly different shade of blue than the background for the icons. Just checked .247 and it's seamless on there. I figured since we were already pointing out aesthetics =)

Well, as long as you're tested, then I guess we can all rest easy.

LMAO! There are other links :P hahahahaha. It's REALLY unstable. basically any complex apps won't work. So if ALL you do is send emails and make phone calls, it's fine. But other than that, I wouldn't recommend it short of just wanting to see it. It's FAST and I love the profile manager.

Guys,

Did an upgrade and i like the overall feeling and looks. But i see that you all say that google sync works. I have problems with assigning the right calendar with the gmail calendar.

All synced appointments from gmail are in 'device default' calendar, but the ones i make in the BB are from one of the accounts. And these are not synced.

Do you guys have the same problem?

Is the best way to load os 5 through the app loader and not the DM.
If you don't like can you always downgrade back to .247.

Kimberlee - no offense, but this is a very early, unstable version of the OS. If you have to ask those questions, you probably should NOT try this version. Stick with the released OS for now. When 5.0 becomes more stable, and you have a little more experience upgrading (and downgrading) the handheld OS, try it then.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll stick .247 for now until all the bugs are gone from version 5.
I must say I really like version .247 so I'll stay with it a little longer.

Cheers

I am still running and liking 5.0 a lot, it runs very well for me EXCEPT i just diiscovered that MMS isn't there and the o2 UK wap mms service book has vanished.

This is not a big deal for me as I seldom use MMS but I ilke things to work as they should.

Does anyone know if it is fixable? It seems to be only o2 UK users experiencing this issue.
