Yep, except the delays - I'm not seeing any delivery to my device (I haven't looked at others yet). It appears that RIM failed over to a secondary data center and were restoring from the LKGC (last known good configuration). I'm guessing we'll receive notification within the next 15 minutes stating that everything should be back to normal, barring some delays due to queues.

PIN Messaging is still offline along with everything else data-related.

Have you tried PINning yourself. I believe you'll find it isn't working at the moment.

Messages are appearing to fail delivery at the handset but are being delivered (>20 minute delay).

This what others are seeing?

messages sent via bes arrive in a couple mins, calendar functionality verified, messages to handheld delivered in less than 1 min

I understand that, but previously the p2p messages would "clock" and now they are "checking", but not arriving...

Default BB Down

BlackBerry users in the Western Hemisphere could be affected by a massive system failure at Research In Motion (RIM), Research In Motion Ltd (RIMM)
the marker and developer of the BlackBerry, which is stopping the handheld device receiving e-mails, WNBC reported Tuesday.

RIM, said its infrastructure failed around 8 pm New York time Tuesday and has been down ever since. The technical problem means that the e-mails are not being pushed to the portable communication units, WNBC said.

RIM is trying to reset the system and told WNBC the company is concerned that the backlog of data, which will rush through when it comes back on line, could cause a bigger problem.

When the current problem is corrected, messages could be released in stages in an attempt to stop the system crashing further, WNBC said.

Research In Motion officials weren’t immediately available for comment to CNBC.[/FONT]

I am still not getting anything in NY, using BES, BIS, Redirector and PINs. My service is also now showing 1 and a smaller XEV than normal. Looks like there everything isn't fully up here yet.

Hopefully everything works by business, or I will be getting a lot of calls which I can do nothing about.

Per TMO, all services should be back online but RIM continues to monitor.

I'm assuming we're at that point of the RIM infrastructure playing catch-up to the last 8.5 hours of downtime. Hopefully the queues will be cleared up and all services back to normal within the next 1.5 hours.

I'll trade you, LOL, I have been on a bridge call since 8pm mountain time with the VP and white glove customer admins. You can only say "Uh, not yet" so many times before you want to sick your finger in the 240v

We do have one device stuck on gprs, not GPRS
But others on the same network work just fine.
