I'm not saying this auction is bogus, but I just checked his feedback and the last time someone left him feedback as someone who bought something from him was 2002, and that's the only one in his entire history. If I'm going to buy a phone that supposedly no one has, I'm going to want to buy it from someone who has an established SELLER history and not just a buyer history, meaning 99.9% of his feedback is when he bought something from someone on Ebay, not him selling something on Ebay. Take it for what you will, but it's especially fishy when he has the 8800 that no one has seen in the wild yet......

Trust me I'd like it to be the real deal too! LOL I like the grey Vodafone better than the Cingular, but still my favorite is the supposed T-mobile version. I'm with T-mobile so I might wait for that one....

I'm guessing the seller is anticipating a shipment of phones on the 20th. Seems like that's the trend these days on ebay. Put up an auction for an item you don't have yet but "hope" to have the day it's released.

Not that I'm going to bid on it but I sent the seller a message asking for a pic of the BB as proof that he had it and didn't get a response.

He must be banking on the 20th release. My question to him/her would be when would product ship. If it is before the 20th I would be warry. The specs they have on it so far @ BB don't show the camera version.

BlackBerry - BlackBerry 8800

Your right tho jungleland, his desc says 1-2 megapixle camera when the official BB site does not show camera as a feature.

I wouldnt mess with it. Look at his feedbacks. They are all for shoes and stuff. Very strange to all of a sudden have a pre release 8800?

I dont buy it.

And like untjoker said, he doesn't have any feedback as a seller since 2002. All the recent stuff is as a buyer. Smells too funny for my taste.

All he is doing is preselling one of them, pick it up that day and pay for his own...free. It will bring in double retail.

Based on the article in today's USA Today, the 8800 will have no camera. RIM to introduce newest BlackBerry - USATODAY.com

I don't think he's lying so much as he just is ignorant about the 8800. Or, he may in fact have a vodafone 8800 that has Wi-Fi. Who knows. My guess is his won't have Wifi though lol.
