i know a lot of people know about this bug...; but is it hardware or software? ive exchanged my rogers 8100 once.. and the second one still does the same thing.. when i pickup.. it takes a few seconds before the other person hears me... can any1 help me with the problem? every1 gets annoyed.. is it a hardware or software? i think its software since .. the 8100 OS is kinda slow compared to the 8700 i find..

My friend yelled at me the other day for the exact same issue.

Really annoying though, and this is my 2nd Pearl, now with O2 OS (formerly was on a peral w/ Rogers OS, had it exchanged but turned out to be a T-mo network issue in my home area that they finally fixed)

So on the 2nd pearl, 3 diff OS'es same problem... Really Frustrating

And I thought I was the only one. I pick up "green phone" wait 2 seconds and then say hello. Even when I hang up "red phone" it takes about 2 seconds to responds. Slightly annoying but I'm adapting to it.

Software issue. I had that problem with the original T-Mobile OS. When I switched to the Rogers OS it went away. Now that I have the O2 OS, it's back again for me. Not everyone is having the issue, seems to be hit or miss.

same here with the TMO OS but ive also just learned to wait a few seconds before saying hello....like Clint Eastwood said in an old Marine Corps movie (Heartbreak Hotel) - "improvise, adapt, overcome!"

i have the original rogers 8100 with the rogers software.. and when i pick up the call... i cant hear the person for the first 3 seconds.. and he cant hear me for the first 3 seconds... i just got a new pearl.. i DOA the first one that i got.. i cant keep getting a new one everything week! i hope its not hardware... why cant RIM test this before they launch the stupid device.. every1 gets mad when they call me !
