Default A feminine problem with the 8800

Please Login to Remove!

I had been using my curve, but my 8800 was looking all sad and neglected so I took him out of the box. after about 15 minutes of use I realize that my nails are WAY too long to type effectively and I will have to cut them down. never noticed this with the curve. I guess the keyboard layout is more spacious. dang.

That is true the keys are more spread out on the curve

The big question, though, What is your backup behavior now?

The #1 reason I stayed away from the 8800 series was the keyboard layout ... I have no nails (I clip em, don't bite em), and I don't have big sausage fingers either ... and the lack of spacing killed me whenever I use an 8800 series for testing. Go back to the curve

aiharkness I have gone back on my schedule. I back up every night before bed. so far so good. I even managed to type my passwords in properly.

hdawg I'm probably going to continue to go back and forth because I have serious mental issues, but today when I go for my manicure my nails will be cut down.

edit: and just like that, my man hands are typing away again.

ha! I'm still very feminine, just with shorter nails. I know the password, I probably couldn't type it properly because my nails were too long...

Oh no, not cut nails!! Mine are long and I don't have a problem with the 8800, infact I use my nails on the keyboard instead of fingers...........works for me.

alwayson I had to do that on thursday too. I will keep them short from now on since I relaize I like the 8800 better as a phone and will probably keep using it.

red_jude that made me feel strange, do you keep your nails square or rounded? just wondering if shape makes any type of difference.

When I got my 8830 I found that by growing my thumb nails a little and filing them to a slight point improved use of keyboard. A humble suggestion for 2008.

My nails are squarish and that is working decently for me. Even "cut down" they are slightly longer than the end of my finger; then they grow for a couple of weeks.

I will never give up my BB so my nails will just have to stay at a workable length!

I usually do the "squoval" shape and have no problem until they get to a certain length. I've gone back to my curve so I should be fine until I have claws.

Always rounded and they can get a bit long sometimes. Have tried the square look but don't like it, I use a computer key board every day and have no problems so the BB isn't going to beat me.

Nails are actually better than fingers, you don't hit the wrong keys then.
