Yea, The gecco is staying until the budwieser frogs come back from retirement (which i highly doubt)..

I appreciate the thanks! We all try hard. I was lucky enough to join a great team with a great leader. Dont be afraid to PM me if you have a problem or suggestion. Just keep in mind that I might not get back to you right away.

Now everyone get back to work (whip cracking)

Oh I saw something about spam that's why I was confused.

I like the Gecko too.

What are you carrying on your hip these days? I could recommend something I'm sure.

Got my RIM OEM case from SPD today VIA Fedex.
I have been waiting for it and I am happy with it. It sticks out further than the 71XX series case I have been using but that was hard to get the 8700 out of.

Thanks to RCG and SPD.

Got the 8700c. I use the OEM holster. I want something that looks snazzy, yet is affordable (you know us sales managers dont make a lot). What do you prefer?

Default using 7100 holster for my 8700c

Hi, guys.

I just went to the Cingular store yesterday and got myself a 7100 series holster:
BlackBerry 7100g Soft Sided Holster, Black

It works like a charm. A little tight (especially with the egrips on), but that's ok with me, I don't want my crackberry falling out.

The magnet works fine too. The baby locks up once I stick it in.

Aesthetics are acceptable. It really looks as if the case was made for the 8700 device.

Can someone post pictures of the closing mechanism? How about side by side with the Gizmo Skin?

Looks quite nice though the clip is pretty big.

I have them both. Today I got the new disign of the GizmoSkin and the BB OEM one. The Gizmoskin one is more of a classy shaped and low profile one. Now it fits the 8700 nice and snug. It no longer closes on top when the BB is not in it and it stays open. The BB one is also nice but it sure gives the look of being bulky. My thought is that if the Gizmoskin had the BB rachet clip it would then be the best of both worlds. The Gizmo is definatly a nice low profile and it also for sure goes as one that is also good pocket use. I also have to say, that Gizmoskin realy have stood by its product and I never have seen such a dedicated person that stands behind his own product. I also have to ay it was nice dealing with SPD and it will for sure be my source for all OEM products.

So Gizmoskin has finally solved the falling apart problem? Are the sides now stiched or are they still just glued? I like the slimmer profile of Gizmoskin but in searching for the perfect case I have bought three black ones including Fortte vertical and the OEM. I will wait until Gizmoskin comes out with a brown one for the 8700. I agree that the customer service of SPD cannot be beat.

Got the OEM BB holster (with clip) and it's the the right one for me. Good fit, quality contruction and works as advertised. Tried several others and did not like construction or design.
