What should I get?
An iPhone 3 or a BB 9700 Bold?
I tried researching their features but I'm still unsure.

What are your options for carriers? That might be more of a decision than the phone. I like Verizon, dislike at&t and am neutral on Sprint right now. As the future of TMobile is questionable I question using them.

Plus, what are you looking for in a phone? What is most important, versus what is least important?

My opinion, give an honest answer to yourself to two questions. What will be the predominate use for the smartphone? What do you need it for?

The other question is, What are the 3-5 must have features and/or qualities?

Then, pick your carrier first, based on where you live, work, and travel.

And then, pick out the devices that are best for the predominant intended use and best match up with your must have features and qualities. And then from among those, settle on the device that feels right to you.
