Default Extracting pictures from backup?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

There's a (known) problem with enterprise activation that causes default pictures to become unreadable if restored from a backup, so I have to exclude all pictures from restore and re-download my personal pictures after every wipe.

The damn thing saves personal and default pictures all together, but is it possible to extract personal pictures from a backup file?

Thank you,

I am surprised no one has figured out how to load a back up file in the similator and extract files from it. Must be tougher than I imagine it is.

What is that "similator"?
I made a search, but it's never been mentioned in any forum.

Thank you,

Ah, well, maybe "simulator" gives better results.
Seems an utility for programmers, though.

Bye,

That's why I hate search functions, it only works for those that can spell.

I'll be nice...

You know that you can delete the default pictures right? and when you are restoring a database it completely erases the database that is on the BlackBerry, so I don't see how having the old ones restoring over new ones would cause any sort of corruption. I've never had it happen to me.

it is possible that you are trying to restore a corrupted backup and that's breaking the pics.

I think I get which issue Lurka meet. The problem is that the default pic is invisible when you restore pic from backup file (combination of default and personal pic inside). My solution is restoring all pic firstly and then delete invisible default pic. Then install default pic again. Any better method is welcome.
