Same here, I followed the instructions for the 910 on another thread, which look very similar to what the 510 was asking for and couldn't get my 8100 to connect with my TomTom 510.

I have the same problem with the Tom Tom One. I will not setup the internet connection at all.

No help from Tom Tom, they claim the Pearl is not supported...yet, it shows as an available phone during the data configuration (as BlackBerry 8100). What I wonder is, haven't people been able to use their Pearl to surf with their laptops via bluetooth? If so, wouldn't this be the same principle?

yes we can use the pearl as a bluetooth modem but scripts have to be added so that it can communicate properly over bluetooth. so my guess is that they haven't added the necessary scripts to the tom tom's software yet...

Default Paired!

As I posted on another thread, I today managed to pair my 8100 with a TomTom One and set up the Wireless Data Connection.

The reason I was able to was because I installed the latest Blackberry OS on the 8100 and I assume that in that update access has been allowed for the TomTom.

Works perfectly, so I hope you all can pair and use TomTom Plus Services soon!

Jack

Sure - it's the latest release for TIM Italy referred to and downloadable here:

blackberryforums.com/general-8100-series-discussion/69411-4-2-1-102-4-2-1-66-tim-italy-release.html[/url]

I am with T-Mobile UK and this release works fine with my Pearl.

Can someone help me pair my T-Mobile 8100 with my TomTom 910? I upgraded to the newest release recommended and still it doesn't work. Any help appreciated...I've tried all the settings for T-Mobile in the US. I've also tried typing in the settings manually. Thanks,

Default Pb is with services book

Hi everybody,

I'm disappointed with this problem and spent a lot of time to find solution.

I think now the problem is with services book and/or authorization to go out BB Network.

Why ?

The day I had my BB8800 I made a try to pair with my GO910. Pairing was OK : detection of hands free and DUN capabilities BUT impossible to get the DUN connection works.
I swap the SIM card with another one I used with a VMCC. I try again and.... EVERYTHING WORKS !!!! I re-swap the SIM thinking it was only a problem to adjust some option on my vodafone account.

The next day, my business mail option was activated. I made some tries with the twice SIM cards (old VMCC and BB one) : I couldn't manage to succeed with any...

What are the différences between these tries ?
=> Business mail was activated so I received a new services book.

It's the reason why I think the problem is around services book and authorization to reach another network from BB net.

Does anyone can reach 2nd level support by BB ?
or
Does anyone know how to hack the services book. I think a way to progress would be to compare services book between one BB without mail services (does it exist more than one day ???) and one with.

Thanks
