Default 8700 OEM Hydrofoam Case??

Please Login to Remove!

I bought the Milante Hydrofoam case, only to be disappointed, like most, that the magnet doesn't even work.

I've been waiting for the OEM Hydrofoam case, and haven't been able to find it anywhere. All of a sudden, my boss shows up, having found one at the airport of all places.

Has anyone else found one? It's just like the Milante, only it's BB Branded, a slightly different color, and the sleeper function works.

While at CLT (Charlotte, NC) I stumbled into a wireless shop and they had all knids of OEM stuff for Palm, Blackberry, HTC....

There's a post under the BBF Review section from stealthx32 which has pictures and some additional information about the international version (which should be on sale here in the U.S. soon).

I can't post the link, but search for "REVIEW: OEM RIM hydrofoam holster".

Already saw that, but there's no link to buy it. That's what I'm looking for. :(

Actually I just stumbled across another hydrofoam case at blackberryden.com called

Monaco Apex Hydro BlackBerry 8700c/g/r Case - Black

You can search for WG-3318 on their web site.

Member PixelBit has posted a query asking for comments about this case. You might want to check for replies in case anyone posts. Sounds like Monaco has had problems on some of their other cases with sleeper magnets not being positioned properly, and since this is a new case, it's hard to tell...

Not to be an OEM whore, because I hardly am, but until the case gurus (Lgreenberg and Seattle18) review it, I'll wait for the OEM version. At least I've seen THAT one work.

Nice find, though!
