Default 8100 technical problem?

i recently aquired a blackberry from a friend that was unlocked. MY service provider doesn't use blackberry's as a phone for the business. so when i switched my sim cards itll let me make outgoing calls but says data connection is refused.. the host routing table is clear and the message folder says no messafe services configures.. how would i fix this so i could goo nthe net with this?

You need a blackberry data plan from your provider to get rid of that message.

The "data connection refused" just means you don't have a blackberry data service enabled for the device. I lnow of no way to clear the message short of paying for the service.

Turning data services off under mobile connections will clear the message.

Man, I wish I knew that for the year I had no data service. That msg always annoyed me. Thanks.

The feature was hit or miss in 4.1 but is included in all 4.2 OS's.
