Default Couple of Newbie Questions

Please Login to Remove!

I am a new Blackberry user and have the 8703.

1. What is the quickest way to go from my regular ring to vibrate mode? Is there a one touch way to do it?

2. To get to my address book, I have to scroll to the address book icon and hit enter. Is there a quicker one touch way to get there?

3. I get My Company e-mail on my blackberry as well. Right now both incoming messages and sent messages show up. Is there a way I can make it so just my incoming messages show up and not the sent messages?

4. In e-mail mode, is there a one touch page up button that automatically takes it to the very top?

Sorry for all the newbie questions but thanks!

Welcome to the forums!

1 - There is no one-touch, but you can go into profiles, highlight Vibrate, and press the space bar to activate it.

3 - Yes, go into Messages, then Options, then General Settings and set 'Hide Sent Messages' to Yes.

4 - Press 'T' to get to the top, or 'B' to go to the bottom.

1. Profiles > scroll up to Vibrate mode, click to enable. I keep my Profiles set on my left convenience key so it is more easily accessible (go to Options > Screen/Keyboard and scroll to bottom, set the Left Convenience key to Profiles.

2. From the home screen, if you have dialing from home screen turned off, you can press 'a' and get the address book. To turn off dialing from home screen, go to Phone > Options > General Options > Dial from Home Screen = NO.

3. Messages > Options > Hide Sent Messages = YES.

4. Press 't' to go to TOP of page, 'b' to go to bottom.
