Default Do You Charge Your BB While It's On or Off?

Please Login to Remove!

Just wondering if there is a 'preferred way' to charge your 8700 when it's overnight....

I was powering off the unit after turning the wireless connection off and then plugging it in - found this was the only way to see the battery charging via the LED blinking.

Then I spoke with a TMO rep who said he never turns his off!

What do you think?

I charge it overnight.. and it's usually on. Sometimes I would turn the radio off if i want to have a goodnight sleep hahah.. but other than that it's usually on and running.. hey you don't want to miss those important text and email messages hahah.

I always reboot at night right before I go to bed. And then stays on the other 23 hours and 57 minutes. I charge it up at night with it on and during the day if I use it a lot I will hook it up to my computer at work to charge also.

The extended battery is a must. I don't think I have ever used more than 15% in a day.

Always on, only change the profile to Phone Only at night. Usually reboot about once a week.

Guess there's a general consensus so far! Good to know it's OK to leave it on then.

Thanks!

Always on and reboot about every third day, sometimes because I have to, sometimes just because I can.

Always on, never turn it of, usually using the desktop cradle while at work, about every couple of days. Re-boot only when I need to.

I never turn mine off, generally the only time it gets turned off is if I'm getting on an airplane, and that's not very often. I've heard that its recommended to power down any cell phone once a day to let it reregister with the network, but I don't believe it.

I have had my bb since 9/24/06 (I am a 3days old bb user). I did not turn off the bb at night for last 2 nights, and i charged them when it was on. However, I wonder if it is normal:

The battery is fully charged 100% this morning.
I downloaded few email msgs and opened 4-5 attachments
battery is now 95%.

Is it an issue of the battery?

I did turn it off few times during last 2 days. It was because I wanted to reboot the phone.

By the way, when I turn on the LED indicator, it blinks in green light. However, when I turn it off from the option -> screen, it becomes Red. Is it correct? or Red = no receiption?

Like many, my BB is on 24/7. So I charge mine when it's on.
