Exclamation Can't upload pictures!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I'm new with BB devices, I have de 8700g and I'm learning hoe to use it.

A few weeks away I uploaded a picture of my son, but now I can't... I don't remember how exactly I did it, but following the Desktop Manager logic steps on the applications uploader I only get one error that says "syntaxis error XML on line 1"

Recently I instaled the Java JDE 4.1.0 and the Plazmic CDK 4.1 and I don't know if this changed something on my configuration because when I run the Desktop Manager on the applications uploader it appears in gray this "system software not found on device, contact your system administrator or your service provider" (sorry for the tranlation, I'm writting from Mexico and transalting from spanish to english).

I've considered to reinstall the desktop manager but dont know if that is going to solve the problem.

Any help you could give will be appreciated.

Thank's in advance.

Regards,
Arturo Romero

Your best route of getting pictures on your 8700 will be by e-mailing them to yourself at your blackberry address as an attachment, opening, saving and there you are.

JSanders,

So this is common, but I'm sure that I did it on an easy and direct way previously.

Thank's anyway, I'll try to do it that way you told me.

Regards,
Arturo Romero.

Yep, works the same way. I don't know another way, more or less direct, to get a picture or mp3 on the BB. If you found how you did it before, let everyone here know.

There are some 3rd Party softwares or ringtones, etc., that might load something differently, I don't know, have not experimented with them and it sounds like you have not either.

Whoa...not quite accurate...

On the picture, thing, there's no direct way to transfer pics without 3rd party software, or OS 4.2 which isn't out yet. You'll have to e-mail them to yourself.

You can't e-mail mp3's to yourself. You'll have to upload them to webspace somewhere, and then point your BB browser to it for download.

What version of the Handheld OS is the 8703e running? Options / About will tell you. If it is running v4.2, you can install Desktop Manager v4.2 and run the Media Manager program to move data between the PC and the BlackBerry.

see, aromerove, I know there are smarter people out there than me!

Try their method if you have the proper OS 4.2, or the 3rd party software and whatever all else you need. Seems pretty complicated to me.

For me, a simple email with the picture attached is the easiest most direct way.

In which case...

Back to plan B. Mail pictures to yourself, and upload ringtones to a web site and then download them.

Then - wait for OS 4.2 for the 8703..
