Arrow Sending Video's from Blackberry to Blackberry!

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone! I've got a question! Look, i'd like to send some videos to friends via my BB! But the problem is that they also have BB's and we can't open video files in e-mails! We also can't send them via BB messenger! Does anyone know any ways on how to send videos directly from one blackberry to another? Even if it's a website that acts as an median between us, but you know, to get the end result of sharing videos? Right now i'm just uploading the videos from my PC to my website, and then sending the link, but of course, there are tons of times that I wont be able to be on my PC! So ... That's the reason why i'm asking!
[Btw, I don't wanna use Bluetooth as my friends are over seas or in other cities, so... no... haha]

Thanks!
Kent.

Well then is there some kind of website that allows you to send a movie via the bb browser and then you can share it that way? You know, a completely independant way to send it. For example on blogs, you can email a blog with pictures attached and it'll automatically post it.
Anything along that line? Email a video and have it be hosted? Thanks

Your excessive use of the exclamation point makes it very difficult to read your post. I find myself yelling in my own head reading each sentence, and I ended up with a headache.

Honestly, i've been doing a lot of searching, and I have found lots of developers trying to make this kind of site, but I have yet to find a site that has it completely finished! Argggg this is getting kind of annoying.

"do you know how extremely slow the upload on the berries is?

I don't agree :P It isn't that bad. Obviously if you're going to try and send a 10mb file then yes. But those silly little 300Kb ones aren't bad. Plus, not to mention that the 3g phones are coming out soon So slow? No! <-- yes an ! just for penguin3107. hehhe.

Ok for anyone that wants the solution, I have it. www.filetac.com, its low tec so ur bb can handle it and then you just copy the code and send the code to the other person and yay! Finished works really well! I bookmarked both sites the upload and the wap download site

Hey it's really easy. You have to go into the video section, and pull up the menu and click "receive via bluetooth." It's THAT easy. Just make sure that discovery is available in your bluetooth setup and that you recognize her BB's name.

thanks for the info - i got pics and mp3s to work and a smaller video file but is there a size limit on transfers as some of the larger files refuse to go through - it starts transfer then just goes to 100 % and says transfer failed straight away!

I don't know if Rove Mobile File Manager (FTP client for BlackBerry) supports big files, but it is one way of uploading/downloading files to BlackBerry. I've already used it to upload and download to a website.

It does need a progress meter though -- there's no progress meter when transferring files. Sometimes it takes a while for big files!

Okay I think i figured it out. When I send video to myself via the BES it doesn't let me open it but if I send it to me via my pop3 BIS account I can receive it and I can open it. So perhaps its a BES thing.

I'll let you know when I figure more out
