Default Works on BB Curve 8330 v 4.3

For anyone still wondering out there,
3 cod files + 1 alx solution also works with Telus BB 8330 (Curve) here in Canada.

As suggested in the earlier post, just copy the files in these location:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\korean.alx
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Java\*.cod

If your using 4.5 os then you will need to change the email from HTML to Simple Text. If your not I dont know.

I installed the latest OS, it's 8320EastAsia_PBr4[1].5.0_rel81_PL2.7.0.68_A4.5.0.55_Indosat to obtain Korean viewing/input.
Installation was good and I was able to type and view Korean.
But I noticed my facebook application was gone so I downloaded.
Ever since then, My message or e-mails that come in Korean are all cracked, can't read at all. However, i can still type Korean.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Today, I noticed I can read e-mail which I received in Korean yesterday. Basically, it takes a whole day for me to read them. I guess it's not an issue with facebook.
Does anyone know what's causing this problem?
Please help!!

I can see Korean everywhere - email, note, calendar, and web.

I googled several days and installed/uninstalled several versions. It was worth of search.
Thank you so much!

for mac users...

i have a mac. what i didn't realize was that the included cd from blackberry was only for pc's -_-''. this is not an issue since i have both xp and mac osX installed but i prefer the mac environment at this time. why not choose the iphone? various reasons aside it was mostly b/c blackberry phone had a qwerty keypad...

went to apple website for blackberry download which redirected to the blackberry website ( Software Download for BlackBerry Support )
proceeded to download PocketMac v4.1

downloaded the files from hard_core's post above

connected blackberry to mac (usb cable)
installed PocketMac (took awhile)
restarted computer

opened the "PocketMac SyncManager" icon

clicked on blackberry icon
clicked on utilities>install software to device
from there selected the "korean.alx" file and setup was completed to phone

i clicked on my blackberry and instantly no problems reading korean emails

thanks ckwkim, hard_core for the posted help !!

Ah... excellent! It works! I didn't realize that I had to download all of the files above (and not just the .alx file). Also, I had to make sure to delete the .txt extension at the "file property" section. For some reason, changing the name at the desktop level did not actually change the extension name as I thought it would. I can now read Korean e-mails including yahoo.

I don't suppose there is a way to input Korean????

several members mentioned it is possible. i just upgraded my sprint 8830 to 4.5.0.101 and i can't seem to enable inputting. when i go to options/language, i don't see any option other than English in "input language". i wonder i should just give it up and be happy that i can read Korean email.

Hi, I'm a Mac user, and I'm trying to download korean.alx through pocketmac. When I clicked utilities --> install software to Device, a warning sign comes up saying, "unable to locate one or more files required by this installer".

What do I do with net_rim_tid_dynamic_transcoding_data_EUC_KR.cod, and net_rim_tid_dynamic_transcoding_data..._johad-1.cod? I know they have to be used somehow... Please help!!

The solution above did not work on my 8820, but this attachment did. I am also able to input in Korean as well. You will need to change the language input from the "settings" section.

Enjoy!
