I have my GMAIL emails forwarded to my BB8700. However I am getting them in pairs. Is anyone having the same problem? If so how can I fix this problem. Thank you.

Yep, forwarding and POP checking it. Set it so it doesn't POP check your GMail account. GMail immediately forwards it to your BB as it gets it.

1. You want forwarding disabled.
2. You want pop enabled to send emails from this time on.

CLICK TOP LEFT CORNER "settings"
CLICK forwarding and pop tab

there are the options.

I also don't know where to find this mysterious "SETTINGS" tab of which you speak.

I've set up my GMAIL account through blackberry.com, but I don't know if that's a POP thing or just forwarding. Which do I want?

not on your BB handheld, look on your account settings for the gmail service you are using.

Default Same Problem

I had to go into the filters tab, of cingular.blackberry.net and ignore emails from my gmail account so i didnt get a dupe when i sent one from my phone. why it does this is because when you send a email from your crackberry gmail stores it in the sent files as well. (If you're using pop) this will be seen as a new email... and it is received on your crackberry.

Set a filter to "DO NOT forward to your blackberry from the Blackberry net" For your particular email.

I am also having a duplicate email problem and I am not forwarding email through a 3rd part address like gmail.

I am picking up my my messages from 3 different email addresses directly from my POP3 server through TMos BIS server and I get a lot of duplicates.

I want it set it up so the Blackberry will download the mail and leave it on my server and then when I check my mail from Outlook at home everything will be deleted from the server. This seems to be working more or less well but a large majority of my message are coming in duplicated.

This doesn't seem like the same issue that others are having with the gmail, but I can't seem to find a fix for it.

Can you please write the filter out so I can set one up? I need one for Gmail. I just don't know exactly how to set it up.

thanks

Just tried, it works.
I logged onto my TMO online acct and edit my internet email acct settings by adding a new filter [email address]. This new filter fixed the issue of duplicating emails if you send an internat email from your BB. However one negative impact is the delay, I tried to send couple emails to different addresses, it seems there are couple miniutes delay to receive. Before I added the new filter, as soon as I send out an gmail, others would receive pretty quickly. So there are some trade-off by adding a filter.

Default POP3 gmail with filter

Just read this thread, had the same problem. and tried it out. Result is I now have no more duplicates and I have no delays at all.

Notes:
- I do not have a blackberry email address setup
- added this filter in gmail settings:

From:<myUsername>@gmail.com Action=Delete

Easy.
