Even though text doesn't say anything, the picture has an 8GB microSD... I guess that will soon be out too..

See where SanDisk is now selling 6Gb microSDHC chips. Someone should buy one to see if it will work on the Pearl.

BE WARNED: The HC or "high capacity" chips will not work on many devices. My 4GB will not work on my 2006 digital cameras, MP3 players nor even my USB card readers. I have to use a special HC reader to make the chips work on my PC [I have two 4GB SDHC chips, those don't work on my devices either].

So for the Pearl to be able to use 4GB microSDHC chips is pretty amazing since nothing else I have can use the chip.

C'mon Sanfran! Want to buy a 6GB one and tell us if it works? This sounds just up your alley!

Well we can't make him do everything for us, we should have a paypal donation towards SanFran LOL... give him 1 dollar, and everyone else would... it'll go far enough to eventually have him buy one and he'll make his great reports on em...

On my other thoughts, surely when the Pearl was released that it made sure it was compatible with lots of microSD cards, I wouldn't be surprised if they went to the big companies such as SanDisk and I also wouldn't be surprised if SanDisk leaked them information about having microSDHC cards coming soon... so RIM may have been smart enough to equip their Pearls with the HC microSD readers from the start... just a thought...

See my post in other thread, no 6GB microSDHC chips until later this year. Guess SanDisk is showing it on their Site as a teaser.

I had a 2Gb card and had filled it up. Switched to the 4Gb and was able to move all the rest of my music to it. I'm down to 637Mb free. I'm ready for a 6 Gb card!
