I still think the keyboard is too small. This is after I installed the new faceplate.

Default T-Mo OS for 8800 vs AT&T

Maybe a Noob question, maybe down right crazy, but here goes. I have an 8800 that I bought unlocked from AT&T. Everything appears to be working fine with T-Mobile, (I had to make a few changes with the Access Points) but all in all it seems to be fine. My question is this, is there a way to replace the OS (currently AT&T's) to that of T-Mobile's? Heck, is it even worth it if you can? I would just feel more comfortable if the Blackberry was in fact "T-Mobile's". Given my feelings now, if I had to do it over again, I would have not bought an AT&T version, but I also bought my wife an 8300 and so far no big problems....
Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forums, Loki.
You can put any OS you want on it from any carrier (as long as it's for the 8800.) All that is different are the version numbers and incremental bug fixes. You can't ever make it "TMobile's" BB. Once it's branded to AT&T it's always an AT&T phone.

Forgot to say thank you for your reply. If I can not get rid of the AT&T stuff, then I really do not see a reason to change the OS, I'll just have to deal with the fact. Thank you for your time.

is it me but my 8800 tends to run slow when choosing different applications. I have to remove the battery so it can reboot. After doing I have no problem running the 8800? I am pretty sure someone posted this issue but since ATT n Verizon folks been folding the 88XX forum it is hard to browse through and find TMO 8800 issues

Gal has a good point. The apps that you commonly have running may have a lot to do with the issue. I notice that after some time having BBToday running, system memory gets clogged. In fact it usually overflows.

I do believe that if you're noticing lag on your 8800, something is awry - that's not the norm.

Just having apps loaded on the device, even if they are not running, will slow the device down.

Default Keyboard Training?

Is there something I am doing wrong, I have been trying to type on this keyboard for the last 2 months and have not gotten any better. Are people able to type without looking at the keyboard or are my expectations too high. This is my only complaint however, the phone is amazing, especially the gps.

I actually had a pearl prior, I definitely do not type any faster with the full keyboard. A bit disappointing.
