Default At&t or Tmobile

Hi guys i am planning to buy a BB pearl. I have gone through various sites to see the best deal. T-mobile and At&t both are giving it for free. But the devices from both these carriers look different. Which among these 2 look more attractive and good?

Never mind the phone itself, read past threads and T-MOBILE customers seem to have more problems with the network!!!
At least comparing to cingular/at&t. Personally, I think t-mobile has better rates though.

Thanks...
Do the BB peral (Black color)from T-mobile and Cingular/At&t are different in shades. i know the key pad contrast is different. Other than that, is the black shade same in color. I find the pic of Cingular is little light in shade. Is that true?

Yes they are different in color. At&t's pearl is dark gray and T-Mobile's pearl is Black. Same phone different colors.

Well, that is a matter of opinion. I would suggest you check out each one in the respective stores. Only you can be the judge of what looks best. As far as the carrier, pick the one that has the best coverage in the places you frequent.

I think the black TMo is sharper looking, I think the grey AT&T is cool also, but either would be better with blond highlights, a little along the EDGE, you know?

On the other service issue, I have had both AT&T and TMo, and using devices side by side the past three months. I have not noticed a dimes worth of difference in outage, etc. (except today, AT&T was down like a half hour). TMo Data Plan is $15 cheaper per month.

You need to find out which is the best carrier for your geographic area.

I think you should concentrate on the phone/software/physical networks themselves more than the fricken color of the phone.

If you asked me.. I prefer T-Mobile due to rates and data plans over AT&T.
But.. I used to work for them, so I'm biased.

Plus.. TMO will have metallic ones soon ;)

Hey Jsanders,
you have two! and two carriers? why? I've considered this but thought I'd be unfinancially sound to do this.

I was in bestbuy yesterday and they had the TM black pearl on display. I compared it to my ATT pearl and they were the same. Even had the same key/number pad (alt key said alt on the TM).

I know they used to be different so I asked and the girl said that was the TM version. It also said TM on near the mic.

It is financially stupid. But I really wanted to see both side by side for a couple of months. I have had TMo for ten years, and hate to leave them (actually afraid to, they had given me such decent service) so the side-by-side test was worth it for me. Cost me about $150 bucks total for the time. I will lay TMo to rest in the next couple weeks before the the next billing cycle...

Ok, I see. I've considered doing this and having a phone! That way when I am places like the movies where I don't need my bb I won't lose it or if I go out somewhere and need to take a phone with me. But it does add up on a monthly bill!
Your reasons sound justifiable.

Those are issues with the NEW OS, not the carrier service (as in uptime, mail delivery, etc.). Those users are fussing about glitches in the new 8100 OS TMo rolled out yesterday.

How is T-Mo "stupid" for selling the Pearl in black. Besides, that was RIM's phone, not T-Mo. Guess you mean that RIM is stupid.

In any event, see my avatar.
