i certainly hope they re-version it. if not, i can see countless discussions like this: "which version are you running? the old .103 or the new .103?"

every code change in my company, no matter how slight, results in a version roll.

I am dying to know what it is exactly they will have fixed and addressed which has caused these call drop-outs.

I just updated to .101, not sure if I'm compelled to move to something else right away, as so far .101 has been solid (and I hate doing updates, being without my crackberry for even an hour lol). The only thing that really moved me to .101 in the first place was the separate inbox for sms/mms anyway. I haven't really gone through the entire change log for .103, what's compelling you all to move there (other than simple "bleeding edge" syndrome)?

do you think they will have fixed the whole pending text message thing? Like how before this version the pending texts would just send when you got service as opposed to now they just time out with a big red x?

I have been runnin .103 with no problems, but I reboot my bb after every charging and I text more than I talk on it.
I talked with a csr about why they pulled .103 and asked when they would be reposting a revamped version (while they were helpin me unlock my bb) She said she had not heard when it would be posted again but that "they are workin as fast as they can on it"

Same here. I had *one* dropped call with .103 so far and I updated the morning it was released. The dropped call happened while I was driving and I've already confirmed it's a low signal area anyway. :P

Still, I'll load up the new version when it's released and hope all goes well.

Probably not... Emails seem to still do it but not anything else.

I just hope they dont have that awful menu again. I hated it so much i downgraded back to .64 same day. What a waste.

>.>

We haven't been given the specs on what the new version has 'fixed' yet. Details should be forthcoming probably the morning of launch.

Do we have any notion of what issues the new release will fix? I'm guessing it's too much to hope that Bluetooth tethering will be fixed.

It's unlikely they fixed more than just the audio issue given the short amount of time between the versions. I can almost see the RIM programmer simply cutting and pasting the old audio code into the new version. voilą fixed!

I agree that about all that will be fixed will be the audio dropouts...and yes eliminating the zen list theme to icon version was a mistake. I can see how that would be easy enough replace but I doubt it will happpen in .107. Not enough time for nagative feedback. Thank god we can hack it back to the list theme pretty easily.

I have successfully bluetooth tethered on .64 and .103. Why do you say it doesn't work?
