Hey guys just got a black berry 8330 and a blackberry data plan with the telus smartphone 35 plan which gives 500mb for surfing, video streaming, instant messaging and email. The one below it, the 25 offers unlimited instant messaging and email but no video streaming or surfing. My question is, is 500mb enough to share between those services. How much data does an average black berry messenger message cost? or like on msn? wud the bulk of the mb just mainly be for surfing? I looked it up and it said, black berry messages cost nothing if your on a data plan, but mine basically has a 500mb bandwidth, not sure if its assuming you have unlimited or any data plan inpaticular

I've got 1GB data with my plan and I consider myself a heavy personal user. I'm hard core with the Bolt browser, and now with apps like Shazam and others, I know my usage will go up. I just got my last bill and I topped out at 85MB.

Unless you are a hard core professional whose always on the road, 500MB should be OK. That's just my opinion.

Welcome to BBF! I've seen in other threads where most replies stated average data usage of 100-150mb per month. I've been using streaming radio for a few weeks now, and I'm still only at 180mb with 5 days left in my billing cycle. Rogers should have a usage meter on their secure site as well so you can keep tabs of it for the first couple of months if you're concerned about going over.
