Hello everyone,

New user here and finding lots of great info, much appreciated. I'm a recent converter to the 8830 from a TREO 700p. I used an older BB in the past, which is why I wanted to come back to the BB. However, that older model had an icon for air travel that I think was called "airplane mode". Meaning of course that I could turn off wireless, but still read emails, create emails in drafts or use other items on the BB. Either this model doesn't have that option and I have to switch it off and keep it off until we land or I simply cannot locate it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did a search on this topic and nothing came up.

Go to "Manage Connections" and turn off the radio.

I think it is now under Manage Connections- where you can turn off wireless network.
That is all you need, turning off wireless, to keep using blackberry in flight.
