I looooove mine. Just ordered a case for it. But something strange is that my holster that it came with doesen't seem to work. When i put it in, it always hits the keyboard and start pressing "Q" and what not, seems a bit too tight/ Anyone else have this? Buy One! EVDO is rocket speeds

The instructions/directions say it does.

You have to download them via the Internet Browser. If you want to
load your own files you have to arrange for them to be on a web server,
for example if your ISP allows for a "web hosting" account that's what
you need to do.

The advantage of MIDI over MP3 is the files are a lot smaller. Also the
MIDI decoder in the 8703 kicks major ass.

All you need to do is google for MIDI files from your favorite artist. There's
a lot of good stuff out there.

I am reallly loving this battery, 61 hrs and still 20 % left. Have not used phone more than 30 minutes, however, but 100 emails and texts. My old 7250 would last maybe 1 day even with limited use.

Your perspective is interesting since I haven't quite had the same experience. My feeling is that the 8703 is probably on par with the 7250 as far as battery use, but not really better. I did use an extended battery along with a regular battery for my 7250. A normal day had about 2 hours of cell call, about 200 emails and always some berry 411 and browsing. I always used Blackberry messenging quite a bit and sms. A regular battery would not last all day, but the extended battery would. I always charged every night.

On the 8703, the main thing I notice different that hurts battery life is that the backlight has to be on to use it. For most of the day the 7250 was very usable without the backlight. I also miss being able to just look down to see the time or if i had new messages, especially during a meeting.

I am patiently awaiting an extended battery and matching battery door. Even if the battery isn't any better, or even somewhat worse, the 8703 rocks! I love the Zen theme!

Well I can tell you that when I upgraded the Device Software on my 7250 to EVDO, it seemed as if the unit was constantly checking the server, thus, killing the battery very quickly. I am not sure what is happening now on my 8703e, I just know that I have not charged it until this afternoon since Wed. am when I first got it

Maybe off topic, but, was hoping with the 8703e I could stay logged into Yahoo without always having to put my userID and Password in when I exit the browser. Anyone know if there is a way to do this ?

Because Google uses geolocation to determine where you are, and you're browsing through RIM's servers unless you're on a BES. For instance my IP when using the Internet Browser is 216.9.250.6. From samspade.org/t/lookat?a=216.9.250.6 you can see that it's part of a RIM netblock.
