When I open the globe icon it says Internet brower. OK, but there's a Tmobile icon too. What's that? I'm told that if I use the so-called hotspot browser it's faster if I'm on WiFi/UMA and I notice I have the option of hotspot browser when I want to bookmark a website. What's the deal?

About the internet browser and hotspot browser, I've always wonder this too and it would be great to learn the difference... If there is any...

The title is given to members based on post count. I can understand the confusion with forum policies however the manner in which you responded to the OP's question is not acceptable. If you have an opinion, you are free to post as long as it is constructive to the topic at hand. Yours was demeaning and rude, neither of which is constructive nor helpful.

My company network is setup like this. I can connect to our WiFi service without any login, but before I am able to use any web browser to open up web sites I have to use the Hotspot Browser first which will pull up our login page. Once logged in then I can close this browser and go back to the Internet Browser and do anything I need to.

The Wi-Fi Browser is now named the Hotspot Browser. The name was changed to better describe its function.

The Hotspot Browser allows Wi-Fi network access to the Internet without using the BlackBerry® Internet Service or a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server. This feature is more suitable for use in hotspots rather than an organization's network because it represents an unsecured path to the Internet that bypasses security provided by the BlackBerry Internet Service and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Using an IT policy, a BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator can prevent the Hotspot Browser from appearing on a BlackBerry smartphone or restrict BlackBerry smartphone users from using the Hotspot Browser to browse web pages.
