Default 9700 pricing in TMobile and customer service

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I just want to post my experience with TMobile customer service with bold 9700 pricing. I upgraded to 9700 on Nov 16, paid $199.99. Now since the price has gone down to $149.99, I called customer service today to ask whether I can get the differential price back. They refused, and when I requested to talk to a loyalty specialist, they refused to even let me talk to them. I have been with TMO for 6 years now, and this is my worst experience with them. Just to let you all know.

That's horrible news because I'm planning to do this later today. I'm also a 6 year tmo customer as well. Why don't you just return the phone sinces it before 14 days... And rebuy the phone to get the $150 deal? I thought about doing this as a backup in case they wouldn't honor the $150 pricing.

However, I already dinged my 9700 so I wonder how that affects me returning the bb. Hmmmm

At the tmo store right now and they are doing a price adjustment, no questions asked. Hope you get your $50 back! Also, be sure to send out an old phone and get up to $75 for it... There is a thread on it here somwhere or goto tmo website and search for the promo!

I'm using the 8900, was thinking about the 9700. Not sure if its worth it. Is there really going to be a differance? They look the same. And I've been with t-mobile for about 5yrs and they could step it up a lot.

+1 on that.

I looked into this way before I got the 9700, cause I heard rumors it would drop to $150, and that why I waited till black friday.

Customer care told me the same thing, I gave them the what if scenario. They said they could not do adjustments. But advised, return it within the grace period and buy a new one, which I didn't want to go through that hassle.

Anyway, I've heard the store you bought it from can do something. They can take it back and resell it. Makes sense, doesn't kill inventory.

yes, I took it back to the store, and got the price adjustment. Way to go, TMO customer service.

9700 is 3G, 8900 is not. 9700 supports more media formats. 9700 uses bluetooth v2.1, 8900 is v2.0. Other than that, they're about the same.
