So I have a vzn 8830we working with the international SIM (currently in the UK) on the international data plan ($65/mo). I was considering upgrading the OS from the stock 4.2 to 4.5 for a number of reasons (memory handling, youtube, generally bored and wanted to play with the software, etc) but am a bit worried about the SIM card since I don't know exactly what the SIM activation did

Will upgrading my OS affect my phones ability to connect to GSM networks in europe? Will anything need to be reactivated on my phone? And most importantly, will I still have support from vzn after I do so?

lol, so i'm apparently out of the loop. vzn already put out 4.5 for the 8830we, so i didnt have anything to worry about. o well, looks like i'll be playing with that during lunch today :P
