Storm Battery......
Please Login to Remove!
.....sucks.
There has got to be something wrong with it, or maybe its just my device. But last night I went to bed with half a change, did a bettery pull just before bed to ensure all applications were shut down, I have nothing running in the background, I put the phone in the BB holster (supposed to enable sleep mode) and by the time I wake up, the phone is so dead that it takes an hour on the charger before I can even turn the radio on.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Any way I can fix it?
PLEASE help........

This is because of the VZ navigator software... whether you want to or not (or whether you see it or not) it is running in the background. I had the same problem, but after I deleted VZ navigator the battery lasts MUCH MUCH longer.

ive removed the code file and reinstalled the OS without VZNavigator, it still makes no difference. Even if you turn the GPS locator off in the options, still no change in battery time.
My phone wont last more than 12 hours on monderate use, this is absolutely terrible.

How did you charge it when you first got it?

It has nothing at all to do with Navigator. The battery life is the same with it totally uninstalled and with it installed and activated..

If you launch any app, but do not specifically select "Close" it will remain open. Hitting the "end" button does not close an app.
I learned this when I used VZnav and when I got to where I was going, I hit the "End Call" button (thinking this ended the app), but then about 5 mins later I heard "Re-Calculating Route" from my pocket.
You have to hit the Menu key and choose "Close" then you get a confirmation about ending Navigation. Choose Yes and it'll close the app.

Put yur screen brightness on 10, and the baclight time-out on 20 secs. This will help tremendously.

Storm battery
This morning, my battery was showing maybe 30% full and I put it on charge for 2 hours. It went to maybe 60% and i went off to a meeting. Within an hour it died. Put it back on charge which showed completely dead battery. Two hours later it was fully charged.

I guess I've been lucky...
I uninstalled all the crap apps I didn't need right away... (so I don't know if that had any bearing on battery life).
It did take much longer to get first charge, but after a full day yesterday of "normal" use for me, it went from 95 to 50% and charged back to full in a couple hours (while using it as a tethered modem which I'm sure slows down the charge rate).
You may also want to disable the connection to the media cards while charging... (I do)... I've yet to use the wall charger at all.

I dont know?
When I'm done with an app, I close/exit it. I'm not in Viigo now, I launch it when I need it and close it when done. Brightness to 10%, there is some difference, but not something where I have to put the screen to my face to see what is there.
Oh, and you'll love this...i've had BT on all day to my 925. It's not an active connection, only connected when on a call.
My app list consists of, application center, bb messenger, home, aim, phone, browser, and messages. Nothing else is open, no battery pull.

I think the battery in my unit is better than I expected. I was hoping to get a full day out of it and I get two. iPhone would last me a day sometimes less doing similar tasks (3G disabled when driving due to dropped calls). I keep my screen at 50%, took off VZ NAV. Stand by feature while using holster with magnet helps a lot here also, for now I'm using my old holster from 7130 till they come up with something worth buying.

And if the Storm has a LED coverage indicator, turn it off. Not sure how much difference this makes, but I've had this feature turned off since went up to the 7130e and then the 8330.
